Make some NOISE
Some of you might remember Itchy Guides mentioning this event back in 2006: well it's back and bigger than ever...
This October, NOISE Festival 2008 is once again taking over the mass media in order to showcase the best work of creative young people all over Europe. So where is this gala event taking place, you ask?
Actually, on the airwaves and in cyberspace. The point of this festival is to put the spotlight on young creative minds who have no connections and may otherwise be lost in the shuffle; with that in mind, the NOISE charity programme has created a virtual festival taking place online at www.NOISEfestival.com, so it's visible to everyone, everywhere.
They're also hijacking the national press through media like the BBC, MTV and MSN, and loads of creative magazines will be providing features, profiles and programmes. NOISE Festival 2008 will also stage exclusive events and exhibitions profiling the work of young artists to help further their careers.
The website doors were officially opened on 25th February for the submission of any creative work whatsoever across all disciplines: think such varied mediums as music, film, fashion, design, architecture, written word, graphic design, fine art and illustration, all by unknowns aged 25 and under at absolutely no cost.
The best young talent will be chosen this summer to feature on the site, which you can check out for more details. So if you think you've got talent but don't have the funds or the network to get it out there, go to NOISEfestival.com and submit your artwork for the scrutiny of the masses.
