Why is learning a language soooo hard!

We at Itchy aren't stupid, well, when we put our minds to it. We grasped English afterall, which is suppose to be hard right? We even picked that up as a kid, and our brains have developed since then... so what's the problem? Why is it so hard to pick up a second language?

We're now on a mission. We're going to take a Spanish course online and post our findings here. Hey, maybe we'll even be able to write a whole paragraph in Spanish?

Rossetta Stone is designed to teach a person a new language in the same way they acquired their first. By recognition and repetition. You have to speak into a microphone and you advance to the next level when you develop your accent and memory.

Lets see how we go:

Week One:

Logged in ok. Felt pretty motivated. Clicked on several buttons which prompted us to start level one. Basic. Easy we thought. We can handle basic. Wait, what's going on? Our soundcard doesn't work... we can't hear a thing. Some advice – pressing random buttons doesn't help much!

Week Two:

Well, the soundcard still isn't working. It would be detrimental to our learning to attempt this again...

Week Three:

Still no sound, perhaps we should take some action and fix this. Why does learning a language have to be so hard... Perhaps we should have taken software management instead.

Week Four:
This is embarrassing. This week we swear we will fix the problem and start again, from scrtach, sigh. Motivation is the key. Perhaps if we write a big 'M' on our hands it will work... 'M' for 'Motivation'. Let's DO THIS!! YEAAH! learning spanish online
