Arguably the best live music venue in the capital combining the best of local talent with the latest NME darlings this club has nights to please everyone. If it's The White Stripes and Happy Mondays you're after then Wednesday's long running 'Pop Scene' is the ideal choice. Expect alcopop fuelled indie chicks and indie hicks indulging in a bit of old–skool shoe–gazing in a sweaty, packed out hall. Turn up to Precinct on a Friday night and it's drum 'n' bass and techno and Sunday can either be ska–punk or the intricate folk music of Bert Jansch. If it's live bands you're after the last year's seen The Strokes, Roots Manuva, Gold Chains and Feeder all play here. If you haven't been to Clwb then you haven't really visited Cardiff.
