Bar Europa

Right opposite the castle, Bar Europa – formerly Friends Café – has been vying for attention as a place to hang out for the last year and a half. It's a nice little find that's usually quiet and therefore easy to get a seat and table. With a licence to sell alcohol until 11pm the owners have started putting on DJ nights and monthly poetry evenings –all terribly profound. The music nights are relaxed with a Barcelona bar feel so it's a great venue for a bit of pre–club drinking. 'I visited Cardiff in June and this place rocked my world.
