Every blokes' dream parking space –a car park with a pub in the middle of it. Traditionally split into lounge and bar areas the Insole is really a locals' pub so if you're not a local, or more specifically if you're one of the arty types from around the corner in Market Road the bar staff can get more than a little guarded. But you shouldn't let that put you off. The evening regulars are a right bunch of characters and the karaoke night performances are so sincere and heartfelt they'll bring a tear to your eye. You also get the impression that the chef has somehow lost his passion for the job because you really do get exactly what it says on the menu. A ham baguette is ham and a baguette –nothing more, nothing less. No frills but at least you know where you stand. In a car park. 'Check out my singing on karaoke night...
