Located at the town end tip of Cathays this is a traditional/modernised pub, which, due to its location, has managed to cater well for its punter tribes –the 'professional' and the 'student' – not historically a good combination –. There are plenty of promotions, the food's tasty and well–priced and if you're finding conversation difficult because you're hungover/stressed or have just spent too much time with the people you're with, you can take a book off the shelf, rent a board game or, if you're feeling less subtle, shake them off altogether and hide in the beer garden.
