Something of a Cardiff landmark, this independent (yay) record shop is allegedly the oldest in the world (1894) and does us Welsh proud. Whether it's jazz, blues, punk, rock or world music that floats your bathtub, Spillers comes up trumps, while in-store musicians go one further than Virgin and HMV when it comes to showcasing local talent. Plus, if you're getting a bit bored waiting for the indie kid to finish browsing The Kooks section, then you can always saunter over to the notice board and join a band or plan your gig calendar while you wait. True musical heaven.
