Tucked away in a corner of the Brewery Quarter (that posh bit near Chippy Lane), Coal is International HQ for all things grilled. With an interior that looks like it has come straight from a Habitat catalogue, it resembles a spit-washed Wetherspoons dishing up reasonably-priced quality food with all the charm of a wet fish (one that's been grilled, of course). The cocktail menu offers an impressive array of intoxicating recipes, making the exit via Chippy Lane that little bit more pleasant.
