The Canton

For a real flavour of Kaaardiff, visit The Canton on a Saturday afternoon on match day. A regular haunt for Cardiff City fans before and after home games, this is a proper footie pub. Lacking in any type of imaginative décor, it hasn't bothered to compete with the chain pubs that are slowly creeping up Cowbridge Road East, but then it doesn't need to, because people will come here anyway until the world ends. Dead most of the time except for the quiz night on a Monday, when the pub fills up quicker than the urinals at halftime in Ninian Park.
