Kismet
A posher version of Albany Road's Indiana, Kismet is a surprising find on the slum that is City Road. Though it's actually quite a sophisticated curry house, the budget prices are a reminder of the hard–up studenty clientele. Kismet can feed you for a week for the price of a pint and a bag of crisps. Head down when you're craving a korma, have nothing left in the fridge but a jar of phallic gherkins or after a night out when you want better quality than a Chippy Lane kebab made from premium Welsh roadkill.
