The Museum of Welsh Life
An impressive outdoor museum only a few miles outside the city centre that teaches you how to be proud of being Welsh. Take a picnic to eat in the inevitably torrential rain and spend the day brushing up on your Welsh knowledge. Galleries, a recreated Celtic village and a mini train mean history has never been so fun. After all that learning, spend the rest of the day exploring the 100 acres of gorgeous parkland. Sign up for activities early or you'll find yourself waiting for three hours just to make a clay pot, two hours to feed the pigs and you can forget about the bakery.
