The Taf

Smoking ban plus students equals a rather smelly pub. If you are partial to the scent of BO and stale alcohol or are so hammered you have lost your sense of smell altogether, The Taf is the place for you. Since they're not overhauling the drainage system, it's at least bearable for a swift mid-week pint, but Fridays and Saturdays are rammed with Cardiff's finest either trying to pull, trying to buy tickets to get into Solus next door or trying to save money on cab fare by choosing Park Place over town. Best avoided at the weekends unless you're one of the above undesirable types.
