The Halfway
Halfway between the castle and Llandaff Cathedral, this was a traditional watering hole for weary travellers, later turned into a Brains pub for weary workers and locals. The haunted cellar (with footsteps that follow the staff) dates back to 1889, but that could just be the sounds of the skittle alley available for functions at no charge. Our twenty-four year-old manager tries to go the full way (not the Halfway) to keeping everyone happy, throwing himself into pub management for the first time.
