The preconceptions Itchy had about Pulse before walking downstairs to the club door proved to be extremely accurate. The music is about as camp as you can get, with the crowd on pulsing upbeat tension. Spread over three floors; the bar upstairs offers comfy sofas, serving food during the day, and the downstairs club sports an array of people – both gay and straight – so, although technically it is a gay bar, all are welcomed with a smile. With acts such as Same Difference, and Booty Luv on the menu, this venue will really have your pulse racing. Ouch.
