The Point

A superb live music venue. Some big names have played here since its restoration in 2003, which saw the neglected, gothic-like St Stephen's church become transformed into a premier music venue featuring a permanent stage, lighting fixtures and in-house PA. The Point offers its own unique regular music nights including a gay-friendly indie disco and alternative rock and metal, so it's a great place to make some serious noise. The Point has survived calls for closure by the locals and will be hosting some legendary bands in the future – and less of those adoring tribute bands, we hope.
